This tasted like it was 10 years old, not 5. Really well balanced, cherry and strawberries, and not overly bearing for California fruit!

Very happy to pick up a@case of the last release of this single vineyard Pinot from RRV pioneer Joseph swan vineyards

I'm a big Swan fan, but this one is not my favorite. Nice tart fruit and acidity, but there is a slightly off putting volatile note. Probably better a few years ago.

My second tasting of this wine over the last week, but first formal notes. Both bottles needed 30 minutes to blow off some funk, but after that it's all good. Cloudy ruby with an amber bend. Spiced red fruits of pomegranate, plum, and sour cherry dominate, but a supporting cast of wilted lavender, herbal tea, and tilled earth give this depth. Goes from good to great with tertiary notes of beef bouillon, rhubarb, and porcini mushroom. I couldn't stop thinking that this is more Burgundian than anything I've ever had from Oregon, never mind RRV. Lots of acid and a heady 14% abv is certain to divide a crowd, but it's a must try for fans Oregon and Burgundy.

Ahhhh-mazing RR Pinot, light and lovely. Brining home all the flavors indicative of the region but so well balanced compared to many neighbors.

Been a while since I visited with Mr. Swan and I have too long been away. Beautiful bright redcurrant, raspberry and bramble with a nice cedar undercurrent.

This wine maker knows how to get out of their own way. For the price I believe the quality is outstanding!
