Dried and desiccated plum, raspberry jam, bitter, savory herbal bay leaf, rosemary and thyme. Light suggestions of peppered meat, olive and leather. Not super complex and deep, but a nice reflection of what CDP is all about.

Smell like canned Oregon plums. Taste more on the exuberant fruit side, with strong raspberry coulis and black cherry on the palate. A little unsweetened cocoa powder in the finish, which may be from the touch of heat I get (14.5 but I would guess a good half degree higher), and some charcoal and tapenade. But overall seductive in weight and feel- a heavy pillow in a dark room

The first night a bit disjointed but interesting despite being medium bodied and less complex than anticipated. The second night it was silky like chocolate milk from the carton. Wish I had more second night Sabon.
