I have never been a fan of dessert wines but I decided to give this one a try with a small serving of Vanilla and Pear Vacherin Glacé with Gianduja Sauce. Wow, what a perfect match. Unfortunately no longer produced by JPV this 1993 Delice du Semillon presents a spectacular aroma, beautiful color, a near perfect sugar and acid balance with hints of cognac and fine brandy. Results a very smooth and memorable last course to a meal or sip by a fire on a cold Canadian night.
