Joseph Perrier
Cuvée Josephine Champagne
Gorgeous. Brioche, roasted pineapple, hazelnut, lemon curd, burnt honey, white flowers. Lightly oxidized yet vibrant on the palate, nice acidity, very fine mousse.

Nov 2nd, 2013I’m not going to lie, I got absolutely spoilt on Mother’s Day. My boys definitely looked after me with freshly baked scones with jam & cream + this beautiful bottle of champagne 🍾 💕
This Joseph Perrier Cuvée Brut ‘Josephine’ is named after Joseph’s daughter as he made this bubbles for her wedding 👰. Which explains the gorgeous hand painted bottle design decorated with fine gold.
It’s their top tier champagne in the Joseph Perrier range and is only made in the years with the best quality grapes (1982, 1985, 1989, 1990, 1995, 1998, 2002, 2004 and 2008).
The champagne is made up of 54% Chardonnay and 46% Pinot Noir from Premiers and Grands Crus.
It’s the shade of golden sunshine and is perpetually effervescent. Notes of freshly baked pastries adorned with stone fruits, juicy citrus and almonds come through on the nose. While in the mouth it’s super smooth with a fresh citrus burst and hints of creamy butter and sweet spices. Very moreish.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!

A strenuous week is coming to a pleasing end. This smells amazing and has a wonderfully rounded taste of crisp green apples and brioche. Great value at the sub$100 I paid, should have bought more.
