Marquis de Laguiche Chassagne-Montrachet Chardonnay

Medium amber color. Has a corn syrup nose. It's surprisingly fresh on the palate. Sugars are very restrained and acids still alive. Pleasant juicy mouth feel.

A little (emphasis: little) premox never got in the way of enjoying a good wine

Much better than last bottle. Bright acid, good fruit, wood and lees on the finish

Showing age, more than expected. sherry notes. Apple behind oakiness. Grapefruit. Walnut.

Just the slightest bit advanced on the nose, but the palate held up well. A perfect bottle would be just lovely.

Caramel, browned butter and lemon zest on the nose. Lemon curd, vanilla on the palate. Nice acidity, missing a step on the finish. Drink up.

Oh wow. Oh wow. Starts out like it is over the hill and then BAM, a rush of layered acidity with a lemony, honeyed flavor. Just kept getting better and after 2 hrs was still going strong. WOTA for me.
