Second bottle (primrose cru) from Fortnum Mason. Much better than the 1st from Gevery - Chambertin (domaine Henri Magnien). Had after dinner at Vietnamese restaurant and saved for second day which allowed the wine to open.

Medium ruby color with nose and palate of berries and plum. Medium tannin. Nice finish. Very smooth on the way down. This is a very good wine

From the wine producer’s personal vineyard of less than an acre this classic red Burgundy is a wine lover’s treat. Close to its peak it still highlights the wine maker’s love, passion and artistry in its smooth well-balanced aromas and taste. A slightly burnished dark ruby wine presents aromas of black berries, fresh fruit and hints of cigar. Still showing extraordinary structure, balanced layered mouth feel and masculinity, with integrated tannins finishing with wonderful long legs. This classic was served from a magnum paired with a buffet of European, Canadian and Wisconsin cheese. Cheers 🍷🇫🇷🇺🇸🇨🇦
