What can I say? Unbelievable. Big, creamy, floral - all the great things about White Burgundy. Let it open up a little, and it will blow your mind.

Bruised yellow fruit, old oak and a flinty minerality on the nose. Taught in the mouth, über mineral, slight green pea, smokey.

Buttery, smooth. This 2009 is what Montrachet is supposed to be all about. A great drink, can be a bit on the pricy side though.

Minerality gives the creamy floral richness of this beauty a little breathing room. Some apricot going on with some lemon and honeysuckle. I swear their is also granite on the nose

This is my fav white burgundy and this lived up to its reputation as elegant and restrained but with great clarity and definition. And with nice acidity that is so refreshing. And will age well.

Definitely on the road to fully oxidized, but alive enough to still be a very enjoyable bottle to drink. Soft almost pillowy texture with lemon and caramel. Smell was a dead ringer for grandmas house and Werther's Originals.

I bought this in Burgundy last year, when I found it very tight even though it was over 4 years old. I bought it to see what it would be like after a little ageing, and tonight I couldn't resist opening it. Worryingly, on opening it was a bit funky, but after 10-15 minutes it opened up to express its deep, beautiful self. An astonishing, complex, unforgettable wine, with citrus and stone fruits, well-integrated MLF aromas, and spices, getting better and better as the wine opened up. Drunk with chicken, summer squash, and leek, a perfect combination.
