Not the best showing for a three star Auslese level. A bit one dimensional, missing especially the different layers on the palate this wine could normally deliver. Citrus flavors dominate here. The wine feels young, but strangely I don't think it will deliver in something very beautiful with more age.

Light golden colour.
Still fresh as a daisy. Peaches and apricots, a tiny whiff of petrol, spices and slate.
Drink this now or in 10 years.
A lighter style of Auslese, not too sweet or intense. Very elegant. 👍🏻

Beautiful easy drinking Riesling. Slight funkiness on the nose, but mostly just bright, yummy melon. Great acidity to balance out the RS.

2001. Nice aroma profile of ripe tropical fruits, honey and citrus. Surprisingly a clear lack of structure on this.
