Crisp pear, green apple, lemon verbena and honey leaping out of the glass. Very lively acidity, both round and supple in the middle. There’s a (dare I say) Chenin Blanc kind of flavor and aromatic profile to this that I love. Versatile, complex and fresh.

Light straw yellow color with tropical and citrus fruit aromas with hints of herbs. On the palate Pear, Melon and Lemon citrus flavors emerge, savory. The lengthy ending is balanced with fruit and mineral with grassy notes. Very nice! Sample.

Lunch with Jorge and victor Ordonez themselves! Fantastic Verdejo vines planted in 1885- light oak and sur lie - Meyer lemon vanilla reminiscent of white burgundy

The '12 Jorge Ordoñez Verdejo 'Nisia Old Vines is a bargain summer quaffer. Pale straw in color, this crisp Spanish white offers up intense aromas of stone fruits, lemon curd, wet rocks with a touch of petrol. Melon, lychee and peach flavors follow on the medium-bodied palate. A salty minerality is detectable on the refreshing finish.

A perfect spring wine...except it's definitely not spring yet.

This bottle had been opened three days before we sampled, still crisp, light acidity, light minerality, trending a little towards a pineapple core note.

Good summer wine, a hint of sweet taste but a dry finish.

Lots of melon fruit, citrus, citrus rind and nice acid. Great with Thai clams. ABV a bit high, but still food worthy.
