Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
When I’m not drinking a Napa Cab, I reach for a Jordon. Blend of 80% Cab Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot & 2% Malbec, aged 13 months in 100% French oak (35% new). Deep Ruby with aromas of red fruit, floral and an array of herb spices. On the palate flavors of cherry, blackberry and fig with oak, vanilla spice, leather and cacao notes. Rich fine tannins, well balanced and integrated with fruit and oak. Very Nice! Will age well. Just had this with a fillet mignon, Nice!

Rich fine tannins, well balanced and integrated with fruit and oak. Very Nice! Will age well. Grab a NY Strip Steak with all the trimmings!

Jun 25th, 2020Very unique cab, maybe because I don’t get to try a lot of Sonoma/Alexander Valley cabs. This one is almost medium bodied, almost austere, plenty of red fruit. Very delicious. Closer to a good Chianti than a big cab. I am intrigued.

Dec 16th, 2019A gift from a friend, this wine was surprisingly nice. On night 1 it was simple and quaffable. But in night 2 it got more detailed, with olive and cassis, along with cigar box on the nose. In the mouth it’s showing slightly herby, olivey red fruit. Nice balance, with medium body. A good solid weekday dinner wine.
