Much better vintage of this interesting Primativo Rose’ produced with small estate vineyard Lodi, CA fruit. Bright salmon/pink color with some copper highlights. Aromas of red berry fruit and pink flowers. Flavors of strawberry, peach, cantaloupe and passion fruit. Slight citrus note on the medium-plus finish. Beautiful texture. Crisp acidity and a lovely creamy/hefty texture. Vibrant and refreshing! Enjoyed at the winery.

Sep 25th, 2026Interesting and different. Connecticut vintner who also has some vineyards in California. On the nose there is mineral with a touch of Brett and just a hint of cherry. Pallet is round and full with flavors of cherry pie and some funk on the finish. A bit out of balance and very acidic. Probably better with food.
