Todos Santa Ynez Valley Syrah Cabernet Sauvignon

I was recently at Jonata Winery and didn't try Todos Blend but did so at a tasting back east, go figure. It's a blend of 75% Syrah, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon and adding Grenache, Sangiovese, Viognier, Petit Verdot & Metlot. Complex aromas of graphite, leather, almonds and damp earth. On the palate blackberry, cherry and raspberry flavors, smooth tannins on a long finish ending with oak tones. Tasting Sample.

Young but delicious

Drinking really well right now. Likely won’t improve from here but certainly will weather a few more years.

High alcohol, hot in mouth, very jammy and plum/prune ripe. Not my style of wine, over the top.

Big. Jammy. Blue fruit. Rich.

Very flavorful.

Dry, earthy, stemmy. Interesting in a good way.

Fantastic. Layered flavors. Dark color. Served with lamb chops done in grill. Perfect pairing. 2012 Drank on November 20, 2016

Rich and bold fruit, but with complex minerality and fully integrated tannins.

Decanted for an hour. Elegant dark fruit aromas. Jammy Black fruits and smoked meat flavors. Smooth finish. Not sure it's worth the $51 price tag.
