Aligote, not Trousseua. Ripe citrus, decent minerality and high acidity.

I dare you to drink only one glass of this wine. Pure mouthwatering deliciousness in the way that only Jolie Laide can pull off. Trousseau Noir, Poulsard, Gamay, and Valdigué blended into a crunchy, wet rocks, alpine berries, and tundra herb aromatic melee. I thwack thee with a berry and a bouquet of herbs and now I need another glass, and then another bottle. If you’ll forgive the use of a technical term, this is some killer shit.

Crushed peak season strawberries, rhubarb, sour cherries, pink peppercorn, violets, hibiscus, chalk. Incredibly drinkable, crushable, smashable. This wine makes me feel cool. I want to get drunk off of this wine - will always buy a bottle whenever I see one.

Here’s a California take on a blend of French varieties — Trousseau Noir, Poulsard, Gamay, and Valdiguié — offering an elegant and ethereal wine with a good measure of brightness, lightness, and complexity. 👏👏👏

👁 This wine is medium ruby with a little haze.

👃 On the nose, this wine has a medium intensity of youthful aromas including primary notes of strawberry, cherry, and kirsch preserves, also bubblegum, earl grey tea, cherry blossom and violet, and secondary notes of cinnamon and sweet spices. Also delicate tertiary notes (not due to age) of leather and Brett/ farmyard.

👄 On the palate this wine is dry, it has medium acidity, a light body, medium alcohol and tannins, and medium(+) intensity of flavors consistent with the nose. The finish is medium.

🍷 The winemaker notes this wine was fermented partially through carbonic maceration and entirely with whole bunches, which really enhances the purity and vibrancy of the fruit characteristics. 🍇 🍒 🍓 ABV 12.3%. Vintage 2019.

This wine is light and bright and versatile. I also happen to adore this producer — @jolielaidewines — and its always-amazing label art. This label features the beautiful work of Kate Scott (www.katescottstudio.com).

Cheers and happy spring ☀️ 💐

This might be the most expressive wine I’ve ever had. The incense notes are unreal.

Good but sits flat on the palate when you want it to dance.

I occasionally have a wine with my wife that is so superior that I regret a lot of the scores I've given over l other bottles. This is such a wine. Absolutely the best domestic Jura style wine I've ever had. My only real complaint is I was capped out on my allocation.

Light bright packed with cherry and even citrus, but bracing sap and acid make it all come together. There are lingering notes of undergrowth and cassis. Quite a fun departure.
