Medium gold, lighter than the GK bottle next to it. Heavy in the glass. More powerful nose than the GK with a strong core of acidity. Notes of apricot, spice and some almond paste. Really nice, and for me the better wine tonight next to the 90 WSA Goldkap next to it.

Medium gold in color, heavy in the glass. Crazy nose. Notes of apricot, petrol, flowers, crushed stone, tan spice. Sweet and rich in the mouth, coats the palate. Fine-grained acidity develops with air. This was outstanding.

Tasted blind and served with another wine. Yellow gold, clearly Reisling and probably German in origin. Notes of mango, tangerine, kiwi, river stones and some petrol. Very rich, but lacking acidity in the way you'd like which suggests this is older. I guess JJ Prum Wehlener Sunnenhuhr Auslese Goldkap. I'm close, it's the white label bottle of the same. This improved over time with air, even though we're told it had been open for several hours.

Medium gold. Heavy in the glass. Viscous like oil. Great nose of petrol, river stone, white dirt. Very rich and glycerol in the mouth. With air this blossomed. Next to the 09 and 02, the 90 shows why you lay down these bottles for a few decades.

Light to medium gold. Succulent nose of apricot honeysuckle grapefruit mixed with petrol and stone. Rich and wild in the mouth. Lasting finish. A slight cork taint that faded with air.

375-ml bottle — Apricot and sweet fruit, this is really super complex with a super long finish, this seems like a 10-15 year old Riesling, super long finish, GREAT Mosel Riesling!!

Half-bottle. Had some initial issues with a balky cork that broke, so initially some off putting cardboard notes, but it quickly showed no cork issues, sweet (but less sweet than the Sauternes), super great acid and so, so refreshing @ 7.5% ABV, very good, but not mind blowing!?!?
