Oct 22nd, 2018What a lovely, lovely wine. Classic J.J. Prum. A distinctly pretty light straw color in the glass with faint green tinges. The nose is oh so floriferous and charming. Honeysuckle and wildflowers with white peaches and yellow apples. After some time, there’s a bit of slate and honey. Light and breezy, this is so nice.
A crisp and lovely Mosel Riesling, it’s very much alive and inviting immediately. Refreshing and well balanced throughout. There is precision on the palate underscored by some nice minerality. The fruit is pronounced and remarkably crisp, led by bright citrus tones and light spice. Vibrant lemon zest and grapefruit is tremendous here. Prum delivers yet again.

Perfect lunch wine. Slate and grapes, as it shout be.

May 8th, 20222020 June / July. So young - it almost feels like it’s just finished fermenting. There’s a bit of spritz remaining. The nose and palate are both pre-primary, and while it’s enjoyable it’s frankly a bit young to drink. I’ll wait a year or two on the rest.

# Sektstuuf in Leiwen. Classic, restrained, fresh. Ripe, with tension. We were wondering if it would stay on its feet next to a great cod/saffron/risotto dish. It did.
