Fundamental Central Coast Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is inky and voluptuous. It hits the palate with blackberry jam, chocolate, licorice and spice. I can't think of a California Cabernet that delivers this much quality for the money. Black cherry fruit, tobacco and cedar abound. $18.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2021)

Santa Barbara where it gets its brightness and acid, Paso where it gets its concentration and structure

Like licking the wooden spoon when you’re making blackberry jam. 😋

The wine is subtle throughout finishes dry with the fruit and oak. The finish is the best part of the wine.

I just love 11 Eleven....
The taste is smoother than on the nose. Neither is wrong... just a contrast.
