Happy #CabernetDay w/ 12 Jim Barry Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon "The Cover Drive" comes from the southern boundary of Coonawarra where the old Penola cricket was located, hence the label. Not too minty on the nose with more dusty earth and aromatic blue & black fruits. Very nice balance with moderate body, ripe fruit, bright acidity and fine-grained tannins that give the impression of power and focus.

Slight Greenbell pepper and herbaceous on the nose. Not as much eucalyptus as you usually see in Australia. The finish and taste is a lot smoother than the nose would imply
