A young wine, that will only get better. It’s big and bold, big ripe red and black fruit. Big chewy tannins that have softened up a bit but are still bold. Solid acidity, gonna age well. Also getting licorice, pencil shavings. Very good, will save the rest for a few years down the road.

Sep 11th, 2025At this point I’m betting it needs some more time to open. Red fruit dominant, though some blue is noticeable. Tannins tight and fully loaded. Medium finish. Different than other George III I’ve had, more red fruited.
