It was paella 🥘 night in our house so I thought this #aussiewinemonth Jericho
2016 Tempranillo would go down a treat with the Jamie Oliver recipe I was using. Just between you and me, it was a pretty darn good night!

Jericho is a family owned and run winery from the Adelaide Hills (South Australia 🇦🇺). If you get a chance to try their wines, do it as they typically produce very small quantities.

This Tempranillo is a juicy plum red on the eye. On the nose I pick up sweet berry fruits, baking spice and plums laced with vanilla. The plum trend carries through onto the palate making it an extremely juicy and approachable red wine.

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #gifted #tcweekdaywine

Clear, medium and bright purple in appearance. Clean nose with a medium (+) intensity of aromas of damp, dusty earth. Red licorice, blueberry, rosewater, violets and blueberry confectionary make for an exciting, expressive fragrance. Unfortunately which can not be backed up by a lacking palate. Medium (+) acidity, harsh and grainy tanic structure. Flavours coming through on the palate are tar, raspberry, blueberry and cloves but they're in and out quicker than you could imagine. Very short and abrupt finish. Drink now.. Went in with tremendous expectations and cane out throughly dissapointed. Good thing the housemates like it.
