Very, very fine tannins, lively acidity, and notes of blackberries, blueberries, rocky earth, licorice, and espresso. 8 years old and it still has many years ahead of it. Balanced and beautiful — one that really wow’ed me! Even better on day 2.

One of our early offers when i thought I was gonna sell Languedoc wines. This needed forever to open back in 2013. Like 3 days. Today the nose is a bit mute. Some licorice. Some mineral. Some earth. Still a bit closed. Palate is juicy and structured with a nice core and some good fruit. A nice core. Grenache is apparent. Juicy as all hell. Very clean and pure. Looong. A lot of material. I like it. I think I’ll check back in a few hours.
UPDATE : it got really wonderful after 3 hours open.

A bit taught and closed, would benefit from decanting. Still has strong tannins, ripe berries and cassis.
