Doing the typical “Two sides of the Loire” comparative tasting.
Muted on the nose with shy green grass & nettle + starts showing a very interesting waxy note after some time. More vivid on the palate, though still defined rather by its acidic structure than fruit. Ripe gooseberries, green apples and the grass again. Finishes off with an austere flinty, slightly steely note.
Not bad but quite far from what Sancerre is capable of.
