Wow. Pungent bramble fruit. Bright acid. Super clean. Stunning.

Part 2 of Columbia County wknd: closed Beaujo, quite refined but this needs a good decant or some time. Black cherries, a plum- ier note. Rather compact body & closed on the nose. Still, nicely accompanied Grilled steelhead trout on cedar planks. I suspect this is one Morgon that needs nurturing. Never had this producer before, to the amazement of the wine store guy.

Young but delicious; has the trappings of a worthy burgundy; dried bacon herb and mineral framed in. beautiful deep savory property ripened red and some black fruits

Another holdover from the Thanksgiving table, this very young Morgon was highly drinkable and full of juicy dark fruit. Depth and complexity from a touch of minerality and tart acid. Lovely now with lots of aging potential from a region that never really gets the credit it deserves for complex, ageable wines

Globs of cassis with either tar or licorice (both?) bringing up in the rear. Tasty sour cherries give it a lively jolt. The juice totally saturates across one’s taste receptors and remains with you a good 90 seconds from down the hatch. Yes, it’s young....but, if its current structure continues hand in hand this is going to be a classic Morgan down the road. A gorgeous wine!
