Blend of Syrah from 20 different plots in Cornas. Aged in oak for 2 years. Dark, serious, mineral, aromas of dark fruit, game, leather, hints of licorice and coffee. Bold, quite concentrated, slightly harsh tannins at the moment

A great bottle that shows what Cornas can do even at (relatively) moderate prices. Black fruit, licorice, dirt, balsamic notes on the nose. Full, viscous mouthfeel, long finish. Bottle #2 from Aunnie in Lyon.
