A unique style of Bourgogne Blanc. Not the most expressive on the nose, where it shows a lot of dense dark stones and a bit of pear. But in the mouth it struts its stuff. Dense and minerally, but with lively acidity.
UPDATE: Night 2 more fruit has come out, making for a more complete palate. Upping from 9.0 to 9.1. Obviously benefits from air at this point in its evolution.

This stuff pulses through my veins. Gorgeous nose. Very mineral but generous. Palate is just so good. Rich, Ripe and elegant with good acidity and terrific freshness from the minerality. So clean and very pure.

Oct 3rd, 2018Nose is a bit closed. Very mineral. Very narrow but focused. Some lemon zest. But that palate is liquid electricity. Terrific minerality and zest. 2014 acids in full swing and lovely density. Mouthwatering finish and terrific length. Great showing. Nose will develop with air.

Mar 21st, 2018From one parcel. Amazingly pure nose. Melon, apple, dense nose. Mineral, high acid and great volume in the mouth and wonderful minerality. Long, winding finish. So pure. Astonishing.

1 person found it helpfulFeb 26th, 2014Wow! What a great wine. Mineral slabs and piquant green apple skin, so serene and calming. Palate has electricity in spades. It brings the lighting. Tensile and intense with juicy minerals and barely green apple fruit. Lean in the best way and so clean and sopping with minerals on the finish. Sappy and so well made.

Jul 7th, 2017This wine was closed and almost reductive for two days. Finally, on the third day, it rose from the, well, not the dead, but more like the unborn. Nose started to reveal yellow fruits, citrus honey, and extremely fragrant, clean minerality. Tight, lean, but concentrated in the mouth. Great acids and loads of high-toned cracked stone minerality. Hard to believe, but I think this still needs a couple of years. 9.0 for now, but it is likely to be much better with more bottle age.

Very rich. That’s the vintage. I prefer this wine in lighter years so the aromatics can shine through but I must admit that this is pretty delicious. Bought from Fass Selections
