Fun low cost bubbles, extra creaminess from the chenin - lacks the sourdough touch extra lees contact would have given - but an outstanding Limoux

It's incorrect to call this a "Champagne Blend" because in addition to chardonnay and pinot noir it includes chenin blanc and mauzac. The wine has bracing acidity and a pleasant yeastiness plus some apple and citrus notes. Enjoyable but about heavy. 12%abv

Slight mushroomy, roast pork (don't laugh, I smelled it) going honey and pear, fruit forward with good lemony citrus acid.

Good toast and nice acid. A little too much residual sugar for me.

I popped this open for my wife's birthday. It's a little sweet for a brut, with major micro-bubbles, and noted of honey and sour apples. Nice acidity in the middle, and the Chardonnay grape leaves a bit of a buttery finish.
