These things are crazy. Opened one 5 years ago that was completely undrinkable, but this one was better. It needed about 30 mins of air to show any fruit, but it finally peaked out a little along with fennel and very strong acidity. Based on the slight improvement from 5 yrs ago I’m intrigued but I’m not opening another one for at least 5 more.

Fascinating wine that evolved over three days. Stunning aromatics that showed oxidative elements along with fresh, green, herbal notes. So much structure and acid. I suspect this will last for decades more.

A little earth and funk with a solid core of beautiful fruit. Still fresh , and intense I have not had this in 5 years but it's holding up well.

1990; close to perfection, this bottle provided a history lesson on its own. Crystalline aromas and flavors with a pulsating finish where hard-to-beat minerality take centre stage.

1995 vintage. Truly mineral on the nose, with faint and complex additions of marzipan and mature tropical fruits where lemon rind notes add lift and interest. Old-school but so wonderfully fresh, where piercing acidity counterbalance its developed fruit profile and wet chalk flavors.
