Echezeaux du Dessus Grand Cru Pinot Noir

Great friends bonding. Celebrating Russ’ birth-year. Still plenty of life left in this. Cigar box and new leather on the nose. Still presenting broad-shouldered tannins on the palate. The air has caused this to pick up some sweetness. Fruit is still in the foreground, intermingled with earthy notes. Ethereal presentation comes to mind. A lovely gift from our besty, @Mike R 😍

Discrete nose of lavander, berries, on palate warmer and a bit more oak than my favourites LB and AR but still very pleasant and elegant.

Mind. Blown. My expectations are never high for burgundy because it's so hit and miss. This is a huge hit. Like World Series grand slam.

Couldn’t afford his uncles wine so I got the next best thing😁. A upfront attack with tertiary notes coming through. Shallow mid but nice finish.
