A great wine. So lean and so mineral. Nose is lime rock candy, lean minerals, and some lime and lemon zest. So mineral. Palate is high acid and dazzlingly fresh with an engaging texture. Sweet minerals and huge grip, sap and structure. Amazing density and an almost tannic finish. Brilliant wine.

Dec 28th, 2023In the zone. Big time. Gorgeous nose or lemon/like rock candy and confectionary aromas. Superb minerals and terrific focus. Tree bark. Lemon and lime gum drop. Floral and sweet lemon. Focused and expansive. Juicy and clean. Lovely ripeness and tension. So pure and clean. Not particularly long but so clean and intense.

Oct 13th, 2020Superb aromas. Lemon curd, lime zest, minerals on minerals, spiced apple, some pear, some hints of funk. Like the good BO. BO after sex kind of BO. Palate is elegant, grippy and superbly made. Elegant, complex and just delightful. Has that 14 tensile nervousness but also shows that 14 while having acid does not have depth of 17 or 18. Long. So well made with lingering lemons on the finish.

Jun 30th, 2020The German styled Burgundy estate is what I call Janotbos. Lemon peel, lime zest and fruit, hint of oak, mineral as all can be and very aromatic. Palate is juicy and high acid with lovely fruit and purity. So fresh and balanced. Incredible purity. Drinking so well now.

More fruit forward than the 13. Tropical. Still balanced and mineral but less geeky. A wine you can’t be sad to drink. Bought from fass selections.
