Blend of 44% Malbec, 23% Cab Sauv, 23% Merlot & 10% Cab Franc, aged 24 months in French oak, new (20%) and neutral (80%). Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe berry fruits, herb, floral and baking spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with creamy cacao, tobacco and cinnamon. Well balanced, firm yet silky tannins, long finish ending with slight notes of vanilla and mineral tang. Very nice!

Leave open two hours before consuming. This wine is unusual. Although it is described as a Bordeaux blend, it tastes nothing like Bordeaux or even Malbec (its predominant grape). Instead, it’s a light red wine with an acidic finish. This wine reminds me of Alicante Bouschet or some of the Southern Italian reds. Interesting but not excellent.
