Powerfully fragrant. Violets and carnations and blackberry. Very light bodied and underwhelming. Was expecting more.

Sep 3rd, 2016Hell yes you can taste the cold weather in this Cali juice. Very rare to truly experience the concentration of these Santa Barbara syrahs with a sense of any less than the beating sun. This is opposite. I taste elevation and wind. Dark fruit with absent attack. Interesting. Still lacking the complexity and any sign of minerals in that of rhone Syrah though. Signaling my palette's departure from typical Cali wines 👋🏼

Dec 19th, 20152010 vintage. Blueberry jam with hints of bacon fat abound on the nose. Spicy on the palate, medium to full bodied. Much needed office time and wine!

Clove and anise on initial smell light blueberry notes as well , a luscious strawberry and cranberry flavor and a long finish with peppery notes......
Next day even smoother less peppery , more full bodied and bright berry notes,definitely needs decanting longer than initially thought...
