Big boy.. Definitely a wine made for the big/jammy/toasty fan. Not my cup of tea, but made well and I'm sure has a following. Was a bit confused by the label.. Talked up as a benchmark for cool climate Syrah, but made in a warmer style.

Santa Barbara fruit punch, but much leaner and higher acid than the last one i tried. Great food wine, but enough fruit to enjoy on its own too

Wife says burst of raspberry. Big wine, better with food good balance, seems high in tannins for me

The 2012 Syrah bursts from the glass with dark red cherry, plum, smoke, lavender and sweet spices. Ample and juicy on the palate, the 2012 is an excellent choice for drinking over the next few years. (AG)
