Either the passage of time or the food pairing changed my impression. At recent wine pairing dinners that I hosted, guests raved about this wine when paired with mushroom risotto and creamy mushroom soup.

Jun 22nd, 2017The only pinot I’ve ever had from Paso Robles, Jack Creek culled out a vineyard in the Templeton Gap that brings in enough cool air at night to make pinot work in a place you’d otherwise would never think should produce pinot. This one has some age on it but is still drinking really well (as opposed to the regular bottling which has lost a fair bit of steam).

Mar 13th, 2020More robust than a typicalPinot Noir. Complex, not fruity, but more woody. Has a bitter mid-palate finish.
