Reserve Sierra Foothills Cabernet Franc

Love this #Cabfranc. Leather, pepper. Fine tannins and high cherry and spice behind the clove. Lean and clean #wine. @ironstonewine

This wine is very dark, practically black, in fact. The nose is complex, offering smoky blueberries along with cigar tobacco, vanilla and an herbal note which is very faint. On the palate is primarily black fruit, with a cherry aspect that sweetens the flavor. Oak is noticeable, but it isn't a distraction. Tannins are quite firm and the acidity is juicy. The finish is lengthy and laden with smoke. Very tasty.

Interesting! Strong mesquite and leather, yet still smooth and juicy. Firm but mellowing tannins.

This wine was very intense when first opened. It was much smoother later. Very good.

Lovely Cabernet Frank, spice and dark berries without excessive jammy aroma, with very pleasant, tingling tannins. Nice spice at good price!

This Chardonnay has concentrated flavors of tropical fruit, butterscotch, vanilla and ripe apple. These flavors are developed while aging in the underground caverns carved from solid rock. Only 2000 cases of this outstanding Chardonnay were produced in 2013.

Pleasant surprise! Don't drink much Cab Franc, but that might change. Traces of menthol on the nose. Candied fruit with a little abrupt finish.

Awesome wine

Nose: cool almost minty blackberry with a little crushed rock. Great nose. Palate: everything on the nose vanished. Almost a numbing effect. Really strange. Not a fan of this wine, and that sucks because cab franc is a close second as my favorite wine.
