Napa Valley Malbec

Rich, dark, delicious

This wine is at a really nice drinking point right now 2010 vintage drank 4/23/15 :)

This thing is a rocker. Contender for "cheeseburger wine of the wine of the year". Mouth-coating with a juicy finish- it's yet another example for me to love what wine maker Anna Monticelli is busy doing

..even- and maybe especially- in those odd, off years in the Napa Valley.

July 2014 in Napa

Deep ruby color. Aromas of blackberry, plum, tobacco and vanilla. Red and black fruit on the palate, oak finish.

Tried this at Concetta with Paul. Not a big fan of Malbec by itself but this one is really good. Almost reminds us me of a good Napa Cab! Luckily I had one bottle of it from my wine club from Wine Steward!

Mustard’s pork chop companion!

Rich and smooth at 15% vol. The 25% of Merlot adds a pleasant dark fruit. Malbec is unusual in Napa.
