Wow right from the moment the bottle hit the decanter you knew this was quality. The ruby red color followed by the smell of cherry, tobacco, and pine cones just won you over. Once on the palate it screamed quality with a velvet texture that finished with nice tannins. Just a good example of how quality wine stored properly pays off!

A little past it's prime, however fun to taste. Tons of muted secondary and tertiary flavors. Mushroom, leather, tobacco, tea, earth. Muted red fruits. Medium acidity, tannins, body. Fun to compare old brunello vs new! This must have been fantastic 3 years ago.
