Based upon my recent experience with older Italian wines, I did not expect much. Upon opening, pretty awful, aggressive tar and very sweet at the same time. Poured a glass and waited 6 hours. Significantly improved, with some fruit although still slightly sweet. A bit disjointed. Drinkable despite the initial impression. Received a 95 on WS.
