The 2020 Schioppettino wafts up with rosebuds, wild strawberries and hints of musky undergrowth. This juicy, peppery, woodsy and wickedly fresh Friulian red keeps the tension high with acidity and wild berry fruits. Deep burgundy, rouge/purple hue with an expressive nose of ripe red and purple fruit, with notes of vanilla, and slightly herbal notes in the background, like herbs de Provence and plum. Medium bodied, with both spice and peppery notes, very light tannin, and a dry red fruit freshness that ends very cleanly. Really solid juice.
