100% barrel fermented and full malo to soften the natural acid acquired in the cold Tumbarumba vineyards.
Also 12months in oak, 40% new.
Still the style is pretty lean and crisp.
Peach, hoenydew palate with a hint of creamy back palate. Quite long. Easy drinking.

Light bodied, peach and pear taste, slightly oaky scent, light tannins. Refreshing, subtle, and fresh

Night 1 - A competent if unspectacular Chardonnay. Lightly oaked, with honeydew and peaches on the palate. A racy acidity demands that it be drunk with food.

Night 2 - The wine has really opened up after 24 hours. The acidity is still present, but nowhere near as racy. The fruit flavours are fuller and rounder and there is the slightest hint of creaminess showing through with a subtle hint of citrus. Yesterday a vibrant youth, full of vigour, tonight a more mature adult with a sultry smile.

Delicious bottle of Chardonnay from Hunter Valley. Great to drink by itself.
