Hugl Weine
Grüner Veltliner
2014. Whiff of peach in nose, nice peppery finish that was absent in 2013, simple, drinkable.

Mar 5th, 2016Pretty good example of a peppery gruner. A little bit of peach and pineapple on the nose. On the tongue- a little bit of crisp citrus, white pepper that hangs out on your palette, and some minerality and salinity/beeswax. Some green arugula flavor in that peppery notes. Comes in a big 1L bottle. Good value.

Mar 3rd, 2016Not a soft white, has some body. Toasted almond, Apple, and Lime. More of a night time white.

Dec 25th, 2015Definitely crisper and a touch of citrus and orchard notes compared to the usual gruner. Was a bit more reminiscent of a Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc. Tasted great by itself which I cannot say for most gruner veltliners.

Nov 21st, 2015Crisp and refreshing. A good wine for summer. Fruity nectar undertones. More wet than dry, but not overly one or the other. A nice bottle to share with friends while enjoying the outdoors.
