When you're in a bind and need a cheap red this is actually a decent go-to. It's bold though and a little watered down (not so much it's a major issue for most people though), and personally I feel there's quite a bit of tannin with nothing to keep it in check. Again, a go-to in a bind, but not suggested otherwise. — 10 years ago

I love ST products, but this wine was just awful! Terrible balance, too sour at one point and too sweet at another. Just do yourself a favor and don't buy it. — 10 years ago

My go-to when I need a sparkling. It's semi-dry, more dry than sweet, and seems to appeal to a lot of people. Great with hors d'oeuvres and by itself. Perfect for mimosas. Often on the 90/20 at Kroger (90 pts or higher for $20 or less) and typically sells for about $15. — 10 years ago

Blah. Very blah. Nothing special about this one. Only upside is it's $2.99 at Kroger. — 10 years ago

It's ok. Better at room temperature than chilled. Not very smooth or balanced, a little watery, and too subtle for my liking. Probably would go best with wine and cheese. — 10 years ago

Maybe I had a bad bottle, but all I'm going to say is this stuff tastes like concrete. — 10 years ago

Smooth and a tad crisp. Perfect for entertaining as it is a well balanced semi-dry. Pairs nicely with salad and white meat. Not so nice with cheese and crackers, red meats, or seafood. — 10 years ago

Meh. This is a so-so white. At $2.99 it's about what you'd expect. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $2 for something like Rex Goliath. — 10 years ago

When I'm strapped for cash (I mean like $20 until pay day) this is my go-to white. It's not very well balanced, more sweet than dry, but it's usually $3.99 at Kroger and goes well enough with pretty much any food expect red meat. I've used it entertaining on a budget too and everyone seemed to like it as a very basic wine. If you're throwing a large get together on a tight budget (think 20 people on something like $150), it's a good enough choice for a white. — 10 years ago

More dry than I expected for a Chardonnay, but decent enough. Worked with chicken, possibly it could work with beef, but I'm not so sure it would pair well with pork, salad, or seafood. — 10 years ago
