A friend popped over on the weekend with this bottle of 'The Floozie' by Hugh Hamilton Wines to try. It's a 2016 Sangiovese Rosé from McLaren Vale in South Australia.
A pinky orange colour on the eye with a subtle nose of red apples, berries and crisp citrus. On the palate its super fresh and vibrant with a medium body and flavours of apples and raspberries dominating for me. It wasn't such a Floozie after all!
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine #tctastingnotes

Apr 18th, 2017Shiny salmon pink in appearance. Crisp sharp strawberry on the nose. Acidic strawberry on the palate that rounds out smooth before leaving a faint sharp citrus on the tongue. An interesting but enjoyable finish for a rose.
