Gold color. Love the yin and yang of the bright, snappy Riesling fruit and the full, richness of Alsace. Terrific with Indonesian rijsttafel (rice table).

Very refreshing, palate cleansing with minerality and green apple and citrus. Loads of acidity.

Mint, honey, aping flower and lime on the nose. Honeysuckle, lemon zest, green apple, fresh green and zesty acids on the palate. Decent pleasant finish.

Hugel is always solid, and reasonably priced. It was my pleasure to taste this gem at a Wines of Alsace dinner in Portland. White flowers, white peaches and a quaint dab of kerosene, this is classic Alsatian Riesling. It boasts a "straight backbone", as our dinner host Thierry Fritsch described it, inlaid with stone fruit, and feels dry, even with 7.45 g/l residual sugar, enough to give it lushness and depth. This is one producer that is never disappointing. 12/4% ABV | Sample

This was actually my first Riesling ever! I very much enjoyed it. The nose was sweet and floral, but the flavor was very crisp and refreshing with a touch of honey.

Been a while since I had this pretty little thing. Lots of sweet melon, tiny bit of RS, medium acidity. Delicious.
