Huber (Markus Huber)
Zweigelt
Vintage 2018 | For the study… I find this grape always difficult to determine at blind tastings. Crossing of Saint Laurent and Blaufrânkisch. This Huber has a introverted smell but lots of raspberry impressions in taste. Strictness and frivolousness, a vague impression of Beaujolais crus. 😑 Keep finding it difficult although we enjoy the wine tremendous. With a sausage and kale and mash.

Feb 12th, 2022- Paired with Smoked Gouda. Earthy. Light but can taste tannins . Kind of a watery finish, even though loaded with Pepper and Fig. Tastes really good with goat cheese

Jan 24th, 2018Not 100% sure I have the right wine... It was dark red in color, good with sauerbraten. I liked it.

Sep 30th, 2017This is a clean, dry (RS 2.2g/L), translucent, beautiful ruby colored, light body Austrian Zweigelt produced by Markus Huber. The estate is a member of the Osterreichische Tradionsweinguter. This a delicious wine lots of red fruit on the nose and palate. Refined tannins and mild acidity. Perfect drinking wine without food, but will accompany sausages, duck confit or pizza. At less than $20 a nice wine to entertain or enjoy on the veranda.
