(La Cave de Famille Herrmann, JA's childhood friend). Goldfish straw. Deep, gouttey, copper filing nose. Intensely mineral and richly earthy. Not at all tropical. Impressive nose. Extremely serious on palate, masculine, even austere. Not very 2006, in a good way. Mineral, densely textured. Long but needs many years to really blossom. Very fine.
