Treana Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon

Takes a while to open up properly, but then integrates very nicely.

OK. Still has that flabbiness that daunts most Cabernet heavy wines from Paso Robles. All around, a more decent effort than usually comes from the region.

Sweet fruit mid palate with firm, structured tannins and moderate chalkiness. Slightest hint of rubber and toasted oak/vanilla. Structured and sturdy, beastly but elegant.

For lovers of the rich and ripe Paso Robles style, this is a high-value wine. Aromas of candied black cherry and vanilla pudding meet with roasted game and crushed gravel on the nose. Vanilla holds strong into the palate, where it blends with blueberry syrup and blackened caramel. Well-measured acidity and chalky tannins complete the experience. Good for the money 💰

Nice fruit, a little smoky and plummy, but lacking on the finish.

One of the best Paso Robles Cabernets that I have had. Full body, luscious fruit taste and a bit of spice on the finish.
