Still drinking beautifully for a 2002, rich and full of honey!

A women brought in this older vintage to trade for a fresh one, so I bought it. The age made this lose some sharpness, but it was opulent and giant for a white wine. It's a desert wine basically now.

Much sweeter and richer than I remember from tasting it 18 months ago.

Really dig this wine. Just the right amount of body.

Cooked apricot, peach, caramel, minerality, soft honey. Gorgeous. Best served at 65 degrees.

Medium body, still decent medium acid, intense fruit: apples, orchard fruit, some sinewy interest. Still good intensity for the age - has life in it yet despite almost 15% alc. Was probably stored well

I get nothing but lychee on the nose, which worried me that it'd be cloyingly sweet. But the palette is surprisingly floral, maybe mineral, a little tart even. Vintage might be a little young.

Not too dry. Not too sweet. Just right with flavors of pears and apples. Soft and smooth in the mouth with a background hint of Riesling. Medium body but still no hint of thinness.
