Even after being opened for 24 hours this still was quite oaky and tannic. Just needs some more time in bottle. I loved prior vintages of this wine so hoping some rest in bottle will be beneficial.

For a so so vintage this is nicely balanced with a fair amount of fruit still present. Tannins are integrated and silky.

Huge, packed with intensity. Firm, gripping tannins. Good acidity and minimal heat. Really dense cassis and almost licorice notes overwhelm the present oak vanillin.
