Took a while to open up. Nice fruit came out after an austere opening. A little green, but I wonder if it might settle to freshness with a few more years.

Stated to open up nicely after 30 minutes, should have decanted. I think the wine is at its peak and should be drunk now, starting to get a bit of leather and prune elements. Nice cherry, raspberry aromas.

The 2017 Block 8 has a Kirsch like quality. Pronounced fruit that is pretty but also pretty single noted. Certainly a tasty wine but not exactly one to linger in thought. It is what it is.

Another 4th Friday for the books! What a variety this month!
What a pull from @Weston Eidson ! I’ve only had one other Hirsch Pinot and both have been outstanding. Touch of mint on the nose. Cherry, raspberry and rhubarb all flexing muscles. Racy acidity and killer texture.

This a prodigious young PN that blossomed after a couple hours in the decanter. Still very primary. Cherry and cedar dominant with significant depth. If you can resist hold for a couple years.
