Like A Hawk Red Blend

Bigger than expected, small production Napa red blend .

Better a few years later but still needs decant. Blueberry, some berry jam, cocoa powder, some savory herbs, a bit of wood, not sure which kind, some cranberries. Overall love this wine. The nose is just awesome.

Needs air. The mouthfeel was very smooth/silky. Overall a pretty great Napa blend with dark berry jam, a ton of baking spice, a bit of raw chocolate, and some savory characters I can’t place. Great with food and listening to jazz after putting kids to bed! Probably better in 5 years.

This needed a 2 hour decant. Nose of figs, blueberry pie that is heavily spiced with clove. Palate is lovely with more baking spice, stewed fruits, blueberry jam, and some good tannin. 100% Napa but great in that style.

Great balance of fruit and tannin. Big wine.

Harmony on the glass, 'lil pit' well layered balanced fruit, structured mouthfeel with hints of "torrefacto" finish.

88 first night. 91 the second night. Will aerate when just opened next time.
