Very smooth - great Sonoma blend. Super inexpensive.

77% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 3% Petite Sirah. On the nose we have very prominent dark fruit, plum, raisins, currant, and smoke. On the palate I am tasting a sweet prune, tobacco leaf, currant, and spice. There are silky tannins but pronounced. Good length with good balance. Could use a few more years of age, like 2-3 to smooth out the tannins just a bit more. All in all a nice bottle.

A wonderful wine. Well balanced blend. Hints of berries and plum. Had with steak.

This was good! Didn’t taste like other blends and stayed consistent. Drank in its own after a night of wine shopping. Hints of vanilla and undertones of caramel and raisins.

Dec 10th, 2023Ok. This is the equivalent of a pino grigio but for red. Nothing wrong, but no real character, just a nice red wine with a Sonoma flair and neutral stone flavors.
For low impact red, this is a go to. I think I paid $13 at Costco - and well worth every penny. I’ll certainly buy more. Paired well with dark chocolate, Gouda, and even grits. Surprisingly interesting pairing.

Still available at some Costco stores in Northern California for about $14 a bottle
